Welcome from Executive Director

“I am delighted to welcome you to Insights and to share with you the wonderful opportunities we offer.

There is something very special about our school and we are incredibly proud of our unique children/ young people, supportive parents and carers, inspirational staff and collaborative advisory board, who all work together to make Insights a safe, secure, happy, stimulating and enjoyable place to learn.

Our vision is for everyone to have a curiosity and passion for learning within a high quality, caring, inclusive school built on Christian values of tolerance, acceptance and respect for others. We foster an environment where we show kindness and respect to one another and the world around them, as they learn and prepare for life as young adults in this ever-changing world.

The children/ young people are at the heart of every decision and we place vital importance on their physical and emotional well-being. We ensure we provide the best possible personalised curriculum with excellent teaching and learning as key priorities, ensuring that our children/ young people are confident, enthusiastic and motivated to learn and that the opportunities we provide are relevant to their needs both now and in the future.

Safeguarding our children & young people and promoting their well-being runs through the heart of our practice. Our schools ethos, values and beliefs place the well-being of our students at the forefront of all we do. Policies and systems such as: Safer Recruitment, Relationship & Behaviour Management, Access to the Curriculum, Health & Safety within the school and on trips + visits, Child Protection and our Whistleblowing Procedures all support, promote and sustain a safe learning and working Environment.

We are very fortunate to have such a dedicated team of teachers, teaching assistants, therapists and other specialist staff who strive to ensure that every child/ young person is equipped with the skills they need to continue on their future learning journey. We work with the local community and parents/ carers and very much value the support and contribution they make to school life.

Our HOPE service (Hands On Parent Empowerment) provides information, advice, practical support and family activities to enable parents/ carers to be involved in their children’s education and development.

Insights staff, no matter what their role, will do their very best to promote positive experiences for your child and work hard to make our school a happy community where people are helpful, considerate and respectful of each other.

We hope that as you go through our website and the prospectus you will gain an understanding of the ethos, facilities and opportunities for learning at Insights. If you would like additional information please contact us.”
